Community Rules
Rules and Guidelines!*
With Boba Dragons being an online community, we do have some rules that need to be followed to ensure that everyone can be in a safe environment!

General
-Icarusian Boba Dragons are a non-profit closed species. If you do not have permission from ObsinBrightclaw, you may not create one. You can, however, theme them off characters that you personally own, but it is suggested that you view these as separate versions that still follow the set species lore~ Also if you find yourself making customs for someone, do not theme it off one of that person's characters unless they ask you to!
-You may not turn an Icarusian Boba Dragon into another species! However, if you plan to leave the community, you may talk to Obsin about permission to void and redesign them. If you do, their masterlist info up til that point will be added to the voided section, and their entry number will be given away and remade.
-Do not use multiple accounts to obtain more Boba Dragons! If you're caught doing this, you will face consequences!
-Do not create designs reminiscent of Boba Dragons and attempt to sell them as Boba Dragons. If you want to check if a dragon is legitimate, please check the wikipedia masterlist to see if it's there. If it's not, then ask an admin in case it hasn't yet been added. However, please also refrain from harassing people who have similarly designed characters that are not claimed to be Icarusian dragons! For anyone who is not part of the community that finds themselves being harassed over similar designs by one of our members, please let an admin know so that we can intervene!
-The Boba Dragon community should be a SFW and LGBTQ+ safe community! This means that you may not use your or anyone else's Boba Dragon/s in any manner that hints to or flat-out shows phobia or hatred of a certain minority/majority, sexual content, or fetishes. Gore is fine, as long as it's tagged as being such.
Gore is mainly seen in the cult sections and should be tagged with a spoiler - If the topic of a cult is discomforting, please feel free to ignore it~
-This community should be a safe space for everyone - So please be mindful! We encourage everyone to be careful about sensitive topics such as offensive symbols or political beliefs, as they can cause some people real discomfort.
-Do not copy/trace/steal art or characters that are not your own.
-Respect is important here. Blackmail, insulting, impersonations, rumour-spreading, etc. and basically any form of bullying isn't allowed! Please also make sure you respect other people's boundaries. If they don't want to join something, then do not push them about it, as that can be counted as harassment.
-If you encounter anything that breaks the rules within the community, especially if it may put you at risk or make you uncomfortable, please contact an admin. This space should be safe for everyone, and we will not tolerate behaviour that puts others at risk.
-Please no mini-modding. All our official moderators and administrators are here for a reason, so rather than attempting to answer everything yourself please just redirect someone to a journal/comment from the team that answers their question, or help them contact a moderator who can answer it.

Failure to follow the rules will result in you getting a warning, and if you continue to break them you will get a strike. Three strikes and you'll be either temporarily banned or blacklisted and blocked depending on the case. More severe issues such as aggressive bullying/blackmail, using Boba Dragons in hate art, nsfw or fetishes, or making scam attempts will be an instant ban.

Important!
If you do get banned from the community, any unused MYO slots you owned will be confiscated and your dragons will be put in limbo while we decide what to do about them and the slots. You will be contacted by an admin about the matter, and you may ask for a reconsideration if you feel you were unjustly banned.
If your ban is repealed then your slots and dragons will be reviewed and then returned to your possession.
If it is not, then you will either lose ownership of your dragons and slots, which will be placed up for adoption to other members, or your dragons will be voided and blacklisted from the species and their masterlist entries will be given away and redesigned. What happens to dragons you designed yourself will be decided in your discussion with an admin.
Note:
You won't be banned without warning; As stated above, an admin will contact you about it, and we do not ban without very good reason. If you feel that you have been unfairly treated by your contact, then you can report it to ObsinBrightclaw, who will look into the matter.
However, if you find yourself in this position, please do not attempt to cause trouble! It is best that all sides involved stay calm and polite so that a conclusion may be reached, and getting riled up will not help your case!

Ownership information
-You are allowed to co-own a Boba Dragon, but both owners should be either in the group or the discord. Please speak to an admin about co-owning, and if there's a particular reason as to why one owner cannot join the group/discord (eg. doesn't have an account)
-If you own a Boba Dragon, do not claim it be an NPC or important canon lore character unless you have permission from ObsinBrightclaw.
-As an owner, you are expected to use your dragons in a respectful manner.
-There is a cooldown period of 1 month! This means that you cannot trade, sell or give away your dragon or undesigned MYO slot until you've had it for at least 31 days (certain circumstances may be an exception).
-To own a dragon, you are required to be part of the deviantart group, the discord, or both. Why? This is to help us keep track! We ask that this request is respected - it makes it much harder to keep owners updated on changes that may affect their dragon/s, and also makes it hard to keep track of ownership changes otherwise!

Resale/Trade
-You may sell a Boba Dragon either on deviantart, toyhouse, refsheet or over discord. Make sure you have all your proof saved when you do so to help avoid scams!
-When selling a dragon: Once a payment is finished, make sure you send the files/profile that comes with the dragon as well as mark the sale as closed as soon as possible!
-Please try not to sell your dragon for more than it's worth! We also discourage selling Boba Dragons for real money - the community's sales/trading are mostly done through art offers, group currency and items, and design trades, and the species preferably should not be used to make money.
-Please ensure your buyer is part of the group and/or server!
-Once a sale/trade is finalized, the recipient of the design will be required to comment on the correct featured comment of our masterlist journal with proof (tagging the person they bought the design from, the seller must confirm the comment as well before changes will be made).
-If you simply want to get rid of your dragon and aren't interested in selling or trading it, please notify an admin! They will take the design off your hands and look into rehoming it for you.
-If you plan to leave the group/community, again, please notify an admin so we can sort out what will happen with your dragons~ In that sense also, if you are leaving deviantart but want to continue being a member, please join the discord!

Roleplaying (Being expanded on still)
When going to use your dragon in a roleplay, community rules still apply along with some other rules!
-Do not roleplay using characters you do not own, including NPCs, unless you have direct permission from the owner of the character! You must also be respectful of others - this means do not harm other characters, attempt to create relationships or join an RP thread unless you have permission from the owner of a character/thread!
-Boba Dragons that you own can be used in non-Icarusian related roleplays, writing, and whatever else, as long as you still follow their species lore and the rules of no fetish/nsfw content, no hate messages, persecutions, etc.).
-Please avoid creating overpowered characters, or as they're often called, a "Mary Sue/Gary Stu". These generally don't make for enjoyable roleplay or writing experience, and do little to make an immersive story, so give your dragon some flaws and limits to let them grow within the story you're building!
-If using a dragon you don't own with permission from its owner, it's suggested that you get a clear outline of its personality, and follow the owner's wishes of limits with their dragon (eg. unless the owner approves of it, no putting the character into relationships, damaging the character badly or huge changes to the personality)
