Getting your design approved
If you're reading this, then it most likely means you're making sure you know everything for getting your dragon's design approved and added to the official masterlist. Make sure to read through the following information carefully, and you'll be all set to go!
When going to submit your design, please fill out the following trait set and add on any mutations at the bottom (excluding the Open Eyes or One Open Eye mutations, which are listed right under the eye trait, followed directly by the pupil trait)! By using this format, you can make sure you haven't missed any base traits as well as make it easier for us to add to the masterlist!

- Head ()
- Crest ()
- Eyes ()
- Tongue ()
- Horns ()
- Boba ()
- Tail ()
- Wings ()
- Talons ()
- Diet ()
- Magic ()
- Lantern ()

Note: Please do not draw a dragon as an official Boba Dragon until it's been approved.

Design Guidelines
The overall guidelines are quite lax, and there's not much to them - But all the same, it doesn't hurt to have a bit of a guide! The following sections will hopefully provide the information you're after in submitting your dragon.

You can personalize traits (as long as they're still recognizable), fur length and style, and you're allowed to add accessories! (For masks or accessories that could get mistaken as traits, please make sure to clarify that they're removable objects!). Please keep in mind however, there are still some limits on trait customization, even if they're pretty lax overall. If you're unsure about whether or not something's within limits though, please ask!
When drawing the boba in a dragons' tail, remember: Boba is always inside the tail unless the dragon has the External Boba Mutation! In solid tail traits such as dragon, bush or monster tails, internal boba can be drawn either in the furred tip of the tail, as what appear to be markings, or, in the case of the bush tail trait, as a part of the bush itself (eg. bubble boba looking like fruit/berries or leaf boba appearing as actual leaves)
Are there any limits to how many traits can be used? Well... No! As long as you have the right resources, there's no limit to how many traits a dragon can have! (Some exceptions to this are things like hydra mutations/multi mutations not stacking).

Basic Traits
To start off, your dragon must have at least one basic trait for each slot! The basic trait slots are: Head, Crest, Eyes, Tongue, Horns, Boba, Tail, Wings, Talons, Diet, Magic and Lantern. Mutations are optional, but not necessary. You may only give your dragon one (1) lantern at the start.

Colours
There's really no limits to what colours you can use, except for straight black or white! Tints are fine as well, basically the only colour rule is that your palette must be able to be both shaded and highlighted - if it's too dark to shade or too light to highlight, then you'll want to tweak the colour.

MYO Eggs
So, you may have received an Egg MYO slot from an event. What's the deal with it, and how can you use it?
Every egg made for an event will be themed, whether on a colour, habitat, animal or something else and comes with a short description! This will set the base idea for a full design - The rest is up to the owner! Palette tweaks are fine, so long as you follow the set complexity meter!

Redesigning a Dragon
Sometimes someone might decide they want to tweak their dragons' colours or patterns. This is completely fine! Small hue changes, the addition or removal of two or three colours and tweaks to lightness or darkness, or changing a couple of patterns, are all allowed. For larger tweaks, when someone just entirely wants to remake a palette or the patterns of their dragon, an Odd Fern from the shop must be used to do so. Trait and mutation changing or removing also requires items from the shop.
When making redesigns, you will be required to submit a new, updated reference showing the changes made for the masterlist.

Designing an Adopt
For Designers, Guest Designers and Moderators.
Basically, to get your adopt design ready to post, make sure you've followed the guidelines above! If you're thinking of doing a themed boba, check around to see if anyone else is already working on it, just to be sure. Once you have your design ready, DM it to ObsinBrightclaw/Wulfenite or post it in the design-checker channel on the discord - Once it's been approved, you can go ahead and post it!
